I want to get creative when it comes to purchasing lots to build via foreclosures etc
Is there anybody out there with some knowledge on how to acquire emtpy lots via creative ways such as auctions, foreclosures, or any other way? I am tired of waiting for lots to hit the market and want to buy them before they do.

if the market is that tight there probably wont be many foreclosures .. might be some tax deed type stuff.. other wise Its cold calling and direct mail to the lots you target for purchase.
I fund land flippers. And its no different than those that chase wholesale houses.. It takes a sustained and highly coordinated marketing effort to get these in volume.
If its just one off.. One thing that worked on Me and has worked for me.. Is to identify a lot and have your lawyer write them a letter stating your interest in purchasing.. EVERYONE opens a letter that comes from a law firm.. I sold a 40 in oregon I had just logged this way.. Got a random letter from a law firm representing his client who wanted to buy our land.. I thought geez this is smart. I used the same method myself to buy a few props over the years.. Obviously its not the shot gun approach but if you just have a few identified can cost but a few hundred bucks for your lawyer to take your letter you write approve it and put it on their letter head.
