Exclusive Buyer Agency Contract

I signed an Exclusive Buyer Agency Contract with a broker/agent in Dec 2022.  The contract duration was 6 months.  I closed on a house in  Jan 2023.   I'm not happy with the house so I decided to convert this house into a rental and buy a new house for my primary residence, using a different broker/agent.   Am I still bound by the first exclusive buyer agency contract - i.e. if I go with another broker and buy a new house, would I be on the hook to pay commissions on the new house to the first broker/agent?

What does the location say on it? I do per property but a lot of agents do per area or state. If it is per state/area I would cancel your current buyer agreement to protect yourself. I doubt the former agent would pursue if you didn't do that but I'd still cancel the former agreement
