Contractor not doing the job properly - What are my options?
Hi all,
We have a situation with a licensed contractor that we hired to rehab one of our property and I would like to have your opinion.
Although the project was planned to be 2 weeks time, it took him about 5 weeks to do the job and we had to call him several times before he actually called us back. Among the things to do, the pipes needed to be changed which he did. BUT, he installed them backwards so the water in the property is not flowing as it should. Now the new tenants are complaining and we should take immediate action. However, we called the contractor who has done the job several times but he did not respond nor returned our calls. We will need to call a plumber to fix that.
What are the options from a legal standpoint against this contractor?
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks in advance.

Might be small claims. Check if it's an easy fix or like what Aaron McGinnis . I'd bite the bullet and add another donation on your experience tuition. Not going to be worth it, but then again, you won't know the law until your start poking around with court filings.
