Joining eXp agent questions

Alexis R Beckley
Posted

I'm about to become an agent and I'm looking into joining eXp. Is there anyone new or at a expert level that can tell me about their experience joining eXp. We're you helped efficiently? What did you think of the process you went through regarding training or shadowing? Did you feel decently confident switching to being on your own? If you get a mentor you don't get along with is it hard to switch or find another?

I'm happy to provide more information for you @Alexis R Beckley-  What market are you in?  As with any brokerage, your success with eXp will largely depend on you and the level of effort/initiative you take.  eXp offers over 50 hours of training each week, including regularly-scheduled state broker meetings, new agent training, etc., however, if you're not engaged and doing what needs to be done to get yourself rolling, you'll struggle.  A mentor will be assigned to you as a new agent and will guide you through working with buyers, preparing offers, etc.  As an eXp certified Mentor, I mentor agents in the Washington DC metro area as well as in N. Nevada and I can only help agents who attend classes, set up their database and KVCore lead generating system, marketing, take contracts training, etc.  If you're connected with a Mentor that is not a good match, a new one will be assigned.  If you need more day-to-day hands-on training in an office environment, you may want to consider a traditional Brokerage.  Best of luck with whatever direction you go!
