To Agent or not to Agent ... that is the question.
Hi all. I am interested in your pro/con list of whether to become a "salesperson" or not (Real Estate Agent).
I have my own thoughts on pros and cons but would love to hear the thoughts of the wise masses.
- Are you an agent and why?
- If you are an agent, were you first an agent and then an investor or first an investor and then an agent?
- If you were an investor first, what motivated you to become an agent?
- What "limitations" do you feel apply to you as an investor because of being an agent?
- What benefits do you feel you now have as an investor who is also an agent (Access to the MLS for instance).
- Any other thoughts, pros, cons, etc.
Thanks in advance!
Craig

@Craig H. I think the only time having a license is a hindrance is when you are not totally above board in your investor tactics. Agents are held to a high standard of honesty, so if you are discovered doing anything shady, you could lose your license. It's definitely not something I worry about.
