Rookie Out of State BRRRR Investing

Cesar Castillo
Posted

Hello guys, my name is Cesar and I live in New York. I'm a rookie to real estate investing but have been reading RE books and listening to RE podcasts. I want to take the next step in all this and TAKE ACTION.  I am really intrigued by the BRRRR strategy but I would love to do it out of state. I'm considering Nashville & Memphis, TN, Atlanta GA, and Tampa/Orlando/Jacksonville FL for locations.

I believe that in order to begin this process, I have to build a team.  Who do you all recommend for a RE agent, lender, contractors, property managers, etc?

Side note: I've considered using a turnkey company to get my feet wet but the idea of making a profit upon refinancing within the same year as the purchase to use the money to reinvest and build my portfolio more quickly is what makes the BRRRR strategy more appealing to me.

Thank you in advance for your time reading this and any suggestions you give!

Hey @Cesar Castillo and welcome to the BP community.

Florida is a landlord-friendly state that's why a lot of investors consider Florida. My team and I have a list of preferred partners to make the process as smooth as possible.

Best of luck!
