Invested than lost everything and want to get involved again.

Hey guys I am new to BiggerPockets and wanted to get back involved with real estate again.  Some back ground I used to own a 4 plex when I was in the Army and had my property manager steal $10,000 from me when I was station overseas.  I then went to Colorado and bought a house when I still had the 4 plex.  I got medical chaptered out of the Army and when I moved down to Texas where I am located now I had my property in Colorado rented until my property manager stole over $14,000 from me.  When I reported it to the police they said it was a you say she say thing and had to take her to civil court.  I didn't have the money to take her to court but it is what it is she will get hers in the future.  But now I want to get involved back into real estate where I will be and able to manage or see what I have bought to hold or to flip.  If there is anything that I can start back off with not so great credit due to lost of money in the past.  I am located in San Antonio, TX and I have always had that deep desire to be invested into real estate.  Thanks for future comments on helping me out.

@Steven Whetten,

Kudos for wanting to go for it in spite of the challenges!

You'll want to learn how to attract and engage private lenders to help solve your funding issues.

You may also want to learn how to manage property managers to resolve the accountability issues you've been having.
