Business cards!!!!

I just got my first 1000 pack of business cards! I was wondering where everyone here first distributed their cards. As a salesperson I know first and foremost to tackle family and friends. I'm pretty sure the 2nd tier will be to disperse them at restaurants, hospitals, and pool cleaning stores/maintenance shops. Are there any better places to spread the love? What did you do with your cards starting out?

I use them to win free sandwiches at Chipotle.

Seriously, it's more important to make real connections at the meetings, or with contractors, agents, other investors, etc.  Cards are meaningless without the human factor.
