Hey BiggerPockets Community!

I've been doing online research on real estate investing (mainly wholesaling) for a number of months now. I plan on attending my first REI meeting this month to learn more about the market in the DMV area. Now, I have been trying to get as much free information as possible but now I am thinking that it might be beneficial for me to invest into a course that can teach me step by step how to wholesale my first deal. Does anybody have any past experience with a course that was useful to them? I have been following Cody Sperber from the Clever Investor and Nick Ruiz from AlphaHomeFlipping and they both offer courses from around $400 dollars but has anybody have any experience with them? Or have a different mentor that I could look into?

Thank you for your time!

@John Thompson I do not have experience using a paid training program. I have found so much useful info here on BP, and theough REI meetup.

With that being said, I decided to get my RE license, which was not free but I learned the most from. I highly recommend looking into the licensing, and maybe talking to some brokers as well.

Best of luck to you
