when should you form an LLC

Hey Ladies and gents,

I have a bid in on my first prospective rental property. At what time is it necessary to form an LLC to protect my personal assests from liability? I know of people who put each property inder its own LLC but im not sure when that should take place during the process.

Thank you.

@Shawn Tinerino  It is entirely dependent on when you want to spend the money to build your asset protection/ estate planning structure.  Working with knowledgeable real estate attorneys who set up these types of entities is a smart move.  Someone like @Jason Marino would be a great person to get in contact with.
