Is pro membership worth the cost in small markets?

MY wife and I, both Realtors, and future investors, recently moved to a very small area.  Our current town has under 7k residents, the largest city in the county has under 20k, and the county in under 800k residents.  The neighboring county ties are even smaller.  We love the BP info and most likely will purchase the membership.  Before we purchase the membership, can anyone let us know if the stats for rural areas are accurate.

We certainly hope that you enjoy the pro membership and are glad that you like the info provided for free from BP!

To answer your specific question about the stats for rural areas - the data we have is only as good as the “comps” in the local market. If you are in an area with very few properties, and very few of those properties officially record their rents anywhere, then the data will have a wider variance.

We will acknowledge the level of “confidence” our algorithm has in expected rents as part of the search results.

More comps, like a standard 2bd/1 ba unit in an urban area mean more certainty, but certainty is a double edged sword - it means that it will be harder to find a great deal.

I hope this helps!

And, if you decide to purchase pro, please know that we will refund you the full purchase price if you decide to cancel for any reason in the next 30 days!
