Are "Free" seminars worth my time?

Good morning BP! I just had a simple question and wanted advice. I'm a newby to the real estate world so of course I am trying to soak up all the info around. There is a "free" real estate course coming to my city (Columbus Oh) and was wondering if it's even worth my time going? Have any of you new investors went to these events and gained valuable information and resources? I've been reading Brandon Turners real estate investment book and he said to shy away from these "free" classes. If you have been to these seminars, what were you positive/negative take away? I'm just trying to learn all I can to avoid common pitfalls and connect with individuals in my area. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I am pretty versed at the real estate education circuit or business.. free seminars are set ups to up sell you to the next level then those are used to sell you to the grand daddy level

next level usually a few grand ... grand daddly level 30 to 50k.. If paying 30 to 50k is say less than 5% of you liquid cash in the bank then I see no reason not to do it if you think it will help you.

if you have to put it on a credit card just be aware you could be setting yourself up for credit card debt for a long time..

but you determine and remember when you walk into the room 1 out of maybe 25 or less will actually use the info and make any money..

If you have ever been to a MLM presentation it will remind you of those.. they have professional speakers these are not investors many times they are hired actors literally..

they will show pictures of their family which may or may not be their real family .. they will tell the reason they are there is for the family.. then its pictures of the kids .. and don't you want to do this so you can spend more time with your kids.. don't you want to get out of the rut all those things.

if you have been to a 5 links presentation or a ACN or Amway its all spawned from those .
