When to start an LLC?
I'm curious how many people start their LLC before they even have their first property?
Or, how many properties did you have before you formed an LLC?
For perspective I'm looking into doing rentals.

I went a little overboard and started my S-Corp & 2 LLC's before my first deal.
I followed the Rich Dad education model of having multiple layers of protection and having a management company and then a LLC that holds the properties.
At any rate, I would suggest to at lease form the LLC before buying the first one if possible. I would also, recommend NOT doing it yourself. It's worth the extra $150 for a sharp local real estate attorney to do it for you to ensure everything is done right up front - IMHO.
