OPDon’t know your background but you could buy a fed hog off a farm and butcher yourself.  

This is something I try to live by and teach my kids if I can - "A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly.

Countertops are ok - would do a butcher block here - looking around $500 installed (can be sanded, refinished, sealed, epoxied over etc).

Hi @Ben Butcher Great question. 

If we butchered at 220 pounds it would be cheaper to just buy the pork at the market.  

Morris butchered the buying process in just about every way possible.It reminds me of the commercials were they draw out stick figures real fast very simple but you get the point.. morris reminds me of that a simple concept and approach to disarm the buyers

Kind of like Joe Gore.. not sure why he (Lance) thinks this is something anyone wants to read.However its apparent that Morris Knew what the situation was way back early in the transactions and still decided to keep selling this stuff.. that's the issue right there.. then moved to other markets and targeted the same asset class's 5 to 10k junkers sell to trusting buyers these homes even if they were not butchered on the rehab are simply not good investments that asset class as described by Morris is simply not accurate.. not sure why  or how he got those opinions.. but he did and look at whats happened..  

Are you doing butcher block, quartzite or masonite for counter tops?
