Is it safer to find a property already occupied?

My husband and I are working to build a rental portfolio. We recently relocated from our primary residence to a rental property ourselves (we recently welcomed a baby, and our house no longer accommod...

Much easier for people to use and safer overall.It is shocking to me how many folks can't start a fire.

Other Strategies: Are there safer or more profitable alternatives I should consider? 

So I’d like to hear your strategies on the best ways (safer ways?)

Or are you going to go the safer route for minimal time expenditure like buying a multiplex and renting out 2 out of 3 units?

It's still a tough market to find cashflow but definitely more doable than areas close to Boston.

Safe rent after rehab is $900 per month, maybe higher if I get lucky and/or rehab it to a very nice condition.  

It's safer to at least have alarms in n doors if not the fencing.  

Golf course is a tough business with dwindling  play .. think the rise of Top golf and pickle ball.. :)Also if you look at federal forest ownership maps you will see that Huge areas are checker boarded with private ownership .
