Hello BPers I was going to attend my first local investor event/meet up and was wondering what people normally wear to these things.

I also highly suggest you connect with @Josh Green as well whom not only owns STR's locally, but has a management business.

Also, look up your local REIA and check Meetup dot com.

Highly suggest coming out to some of the local chicago IN-PERSON meetups! 

You could also reach out to @Jonathan Klemm who is local as well.

When I ask others at my local meet ups they just reply with "I've been doing it for a while" or "lots of practice."

I second all that has been said above - all of those folks referenced have been really helpful to me and have added lots of value to so many BP community members, especially in our local marketplace.

I'd also like to invite you to join THE MTR Connect, a group I host that meets virtually every Friday from noon - 1:30pm EST.

In addition to those I would also suggest making a commitment to going to local meet ups and networking events in your area.
