I have been told that it could be better to save the FHA loan for a later property (Possibly a personal one), if you can put 20% down for a standard 30-year fixed loan.

If you have a timeline in mind, often the best way to stick to that timing is going on market, and will allow you to use your VA loan and do all the inspections you will be required to do with that loan type.
