I was shocked when my carpet cleaner showed me the urine and feces damage to the property (he used a special light) and also he said once he started in to clean that level of damage the odor from the animals’ excretions would be released and become obvious throughout the house.

As the wrigglers are processing your soil, it will slowly convert as sand is actually an extremely vast array of different soil types and mineral compositions, and as it is processed in the digestive tract of the worms, the soil will be broken down by the bacteria on the molecular level, amd then excreted, leaving more microlife behind.

The excretions have seeped through the carpet and into the subfloor, and you will be plagued by that 'faint' odor for the long term if it isn't dealt with now (I learned the hard way).
