Some of my returns had some ink blotches, while others didn't.

.  -- I forgot to mention that high voltage wires into the outside unit were wrapped in masking tape rather than conduit.When it was all said and done, it cost almost $1000 to repair the blotched installation.So, does a license and insurance, etc., really help much?  

The red blotch on the lower left tile was the lighting not a defect. 

I'll try and be careful, but even black burn marks would look better than the white blotch of paint on the old red brick.

Old age will definitely see the plaster detach from the lath and crack, but it usually does not cause blotches of discolouration:  water is the main protagonist there.

The floors look like they are refinished and poly'd- did you run into any issues with color blotches from prior damage?

You might have to shoot it with primer first, those color blotches might show through.Good Luck!
