.🚫 Not Worth It IF:You don’t have a dedicated team or someone to balance for every turn.Your climate or guest demographic wouldn’t use it often enough to justify the cost.Make sure to have waivers, I ran into issues with people saying they got bacteria from it etc.

The whole point of having chemicals (and yes, salt is a chemical compound) is to mitigate bacteria growth, it's science.Â

The above efforts definitely helped and we thought we had the issue fixed, but the water is now smelling after the house has been vacant for a week or so.We plan to get the water tested for Sulfur, bacteria and iron.

Eventually the sealant will wear out but it's possible by then all of the bacteria will be dead.Â

That will accomplish two things:Â first, you'll know the tenant is gone because they took the electric out of their name, and second you won't have a turned-off refrigerator growing smelly bacteria experiments.As for the current problem, assuming your area picks up trash weekly, do just like @Theresa Harris said - wait until the day before trash pick up day, double bag everything, then clean the fridge.Â

Sounds like I'm a little late to the party.. but I'd also mention that one tiny speck of mold / bacteria / something per plate, is actually a stellar result.That means, only one spore probably landed on each spot.If you had a mold problem, I'd expect to see the entire top of that thing cover over, pretty much all at once.
