I believe what Marc was saying is that if the note holder holds the second behind the first that I purchased, that is an assurance that I will receive my money, since my lien is superior to his, if he wants his money, he must pay mine off.But even deeper is the fact that selling the note will usually be done with recourse, especially through a brokerage.
