New guy :)

Hey everyone,

I've recently been looking into possibly investing in some good old real estate!

I think I want to start kind of small - investing in a property that needs some rehabbing and eventually flipping it rather quickly. With time, I'll probably start keeping some properties for rent, rent to buy, or to hold on to longer term.

I have been in contact with a contractor who has actually flipped a couple of properties with a friend of mine. I think he's a trustworthy guy for sure - but I just want to be educated as much as possible about options and where to start.

I have done some research into 203B loans, etc to be able to get homes for cheap to make these things happen.

I also expect that I'll be needing a contractor (possibly this person I've mentioned) or maybe a few of them and lawyer to make sure the paperwork is all on the up and up. With time, I will be needing a property manager to work with multiple properties (if all goes well).

I hope I'm kinda on the right track, and am looking in the central NJ area for opportunities!

I just wanted to introduce myself and have the more experienced investors teach me what to look for!

Thanks in advance!
