Hi all, I'm curious to know how much construction costs per square foot in San Mateo (94403) for basic construction. 

@Rick Santasiere, I'm thinking New Haven county would be ideal to get my foot in the door, but if there's a good deal else where, I'm all in to take it on.  

I wouldn't want to shoot myself in the foot.  

I work full time for an engineering firm but am looking to get my foot in the door in real estate.

The electrical needs to be completely ripped out and redone, the HVAC ducts are completely missing, the foundation is compromised (a few of the footings crumbling), the plumbing needs to be redone and brought up to code, the lighting needs to be brought up to Title 24, the lot coverage appears to be above the 25% maximum for Tahoe Regional Planning Administration.

I believe I paid 99 cents a foot.

You can build a home for under $100 per square foot.
