Best flooring

Hello. I am in the process of rehabbing a 4500 SQFT duplex. I intend to rent to college students so I need a nice looking long lasting floor. I have used Handscraped Saratoga Hickory 7 mm in flip houses looks great and cheap but I don't think it is going to last. So I have been looking at Tranquility 4mm Lake Fork Creek Cedar Click Resilient Vinyl from lumber liquidators. It will last from what I read but its the cost. 4500 SQFt x 2.00= $9,000. I need to reduce my costs as they are high. Any help or ideas? Thanks in advance.

I just put 240 Sq.ft. of Allure, from Home Depot down.  Took me less than 5 hours, start to finish, It's tough and looks great.  I believe I paid 99 cents a foot.
