Hello everyone! My name is Jason, I am new to bigger pockets and new to real estate in general. I'm on bigger pockets to get to get to know all of you and learn as much as I can about real estate investing. I'm interested in buy/ hold and fix and flip strategies. I have experience in architectural design and engineering. I'm currently saving as much as I can so I can get started. I'm looking to buy a multi family home as my first purchase, hoping to use the BRRR strategy to get going in the right direction. I look forward to meeting and networking with all of you.

If you're investing in the CT/NY market, I just wanted to ask how you are making out and how you got started in real estate investing? Is the market doing better in anyway? Is it more of a buying market or renting market?

Thanks guys.

Jason.

@Rick Santasiere, great insight Rick! I think that is a great tip, I'm going to try making it down to Fairfield and hopefully get up to Rocky Hill and Manchester sometime.  I'll definitely keep in contact. I know that I won't make it on this journey alone.  Thanks for the support.

@Carissa Gulyas@George Paiva @Mark Proctor I hope to meet you guys at the meet up.  This will be my first time going to one, I'm pretty excited about it. Thanks Carissa for the hook up.

@Ahmed Ogunbunmi, good to have you on board as well.  I will definitely check out the networking events. Good call.

@Tom Ott, thanks for the welcome Tom, I hear the term turnkey quite often on BP podcasts, but I'm not really sure what that is.  Do you mind explaining exactly what that entails?
