It's really hard to get an idea of cost without someone actually going out to bid the job (not knowing the size, location, grading for the lot, whether you need to add curb cuts to enter this new garage from the street or if it's from the alley, routing utilities, etc).

Some of the repairs were very silly:-A strip of wood on the exterior laundry door isn't painted and she says it needs to be fixed-The fridge ice maker doesn't work and she was told this when she inspected and now 6 months later she's demanding it produce ice-They have mice and want me to exterminate although it's a SFRI provided 48 hours written notice we would be attending to repairs.I arrived at the appointment time with 2 contractors to get everything done.

Because once you pulled the loan out you are depleting your 401k of the funds that could be invested and producing much better yield, for example: if you take personal loan from your 401k you pay it back at 5% over 5 years.
