Not related to RE, but I had an insurance company deny my diminished value claim on a brand new car. 

While some of their rules are a pain, everyone has to comply, like the neighbor trying to deny me access to paint the trim and fix the fence on his side, but the HOA rep stepped in and made him give me access to his yard to make repairs.

But now, as she is denying access, my concern is that she may allow the damage to fester and become a much larger problem that she could then attempt to use against you later.

She said loan modification was denied.

My friend even went to the Recovery company's premises and saw some of his items but the company denied that they came from the fire.He suffered again in dealing with the insurance company.

I have seen some claims get denied because the owner did not elevate their personal belongings. 

Both PNC and Huntington denied it (both banks I have great relationships with) 

It depends on whether you have evidence they've misused or abused it.Sometimes devices fail on their own.
