Cape Coral, Fl flood guidance

Dimple Gajra
Posted

Hi BP,

I was surveying Cape coral market. I realized the risk of flood in that area is very high. Is it a good idea to invest in such an area? Should it be okay if I have insurance, do they cover floods?

Did anyone lose their house because of the flood in Cape Coral? What was your next step?

@Dimple Gajra I am a local property manager and investor in Cape Coral market as well. There is not an issue with flooding in this area. There are areas in the city that are in flood zone but not the whole city. None of my personal properties are near or in flood zone areas and do not require flood insurance. NE/NW areas are more inland and less floodzone probability.
