I love my dad, I have a crazy amount of respect for him and owe him so much for how much he's taught me about business but I feel like this disconnect is starting to affect our relationship every time we talk about money.Now to bring this full circle:Ever since reading Rich Dad Poor Dad 3 years ago my mindset on money, greater so the idea of financial independence, has dramatically changed my life.

Start building a relationship.

As long as you clearly define roles of each person up front it should be a pretty good relationship. 

If I can establish a good relationship with a bank through their investment products, I know that I can get to the next level where I'm doing 2+ deals a month. 

Never mix business with personal relationships
