First, very few insurance agents know how to structure this because they build the policies to pay them a large commissions, rather than max the benefits to you.  

Meet with your PM company at the same time and discuss the prior year ahead. 

As most of you know the market has cooled down a bit and this presents an opportunity to get into the market with a chance to actually have the property inspected prior to putting in an all cash offer.  

The last time I shopped, insurance companies cover the Indy rentals but that's it meaning the umbrella policy does not cover the Indy properties as well.  

Hey @Jacob Thompsongreat question but I think that you should have done some of those things prior to purchasing your current rental property but as you may already know it's not to late to do so.

Prior to any transfers, it is advised you seek out an attorney in New York to review the terms of your finance agreement and any implications there may be to the transfer, and whether or not you should get the mortgage bank on board prior to the transfer in writing.

Have your attorney look over the title policy to make sure all exceptions are standard.
