You also need to get educated on all of the aspects you will be focusing on such as financial analysis, negotiations, contracts, etc.Get a mentor who is experienced in the field you wish to work and learn from him/her.

Look for a business coach and/or a mentor.

But … in addition to having a coach/mentor who taught the proper skills, they also developed momentum while focusing on one attribute at a time to improve.
