Do you let someone live on site for free to manage it and pay them or is it best to hirer a company to manage it?

I stumbled upon BiggerPockets as I was reading finance books (something I like to do in my free time). 

I've acquired new homes in GA and TX and they have been largely hassle-free. 

I know you didn't ask for input so feel free to ignore it, but I would say make sure you do not use skilled labor for unskilled work.
