Properties are valued differently once you cross the "commercial" line. 

You can sell your property, you can get a line of credit based on the equity you have in it, or in the case of my bank, I can cross collateralize new purchases with old purchases.

Sorry I can't be more precise.I'm a little worried they'll hate it after it's installed because of the issues the owners mentioned, but frankly that's a bridge I'll have to cross when I come to it. 

Since I have not begun buying rental properties or performing major rehabs I feel that I don't have valuable content to produce on these platforms.

Roofstock was a good resource and the mortgage company, Cross Country Mortgage, was easy to deal with

So yes, crowdfunding platforms are really just middlemen between investors and syndicators.
