There are people who get caught up in fear because of the news, there are people who perpetuate stereotypes of all kinds, and whose mentality is wrapped around politics and blaming others or a side.

I'd be emphatic with whoever it is that you're even open to bad news. 

But the good news is that you can recognize what they are saying and learn from that to improve yourself.
