There were several round tables in the middle for members to sit, a stage to the right and all around the perimeter were tables where vendors, such as finance people, real estate lawyers, etc set up to promote their businesses.

If you are looking to be reasonably close to downtown then the Sugarhouse area and the east bench are some great neighborhoods in Salt Lake City

The only real change is closing a wall in the middle of the house to make it a duplex and adding an additional standard kitchen.
