It sounds like they are acting as brokers without a license, and that is illegal in most if not all states.There is nothing wrong with a middleman who knows enough about the business to sign his own name on the deal.

In the case of an increase in rent, it is understood that all the other provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force, changed only by the alteration in the amount of rent and not otherwise.I would read your landlord-tenant law to make sure you don't write an illegal clause, and maybe search for CPI clause or rent increase clause.

Advertising that a unit is "close to parks" is more enticing and informative than saying "great for families," so I really don't see why anyone (who knows that it's illegal per FHA) would still say that.Anywho, my thread was about marital status, and that issue has been resolved per Lynn's post.
