Sure, they may make it look like you are doing better, by using 179 or other quick methods to depreciate your personal property, but then you lose that depreciation expense in future years.

My vote would be to take the required courses and test to get your RE sales person license, hang your hat with a RE broker, and start working as a real estate agent full or part time.
