If your HOA or county law allows it, and the tenants don't mind (I mean owner in a camper van in the backyard, that's not appealing to renters and they likely will not want to pay market value for less privacy), it's an idea, but why not just live with family during that time and skip the camper van altogether?

I would say skip the pool, if you want to do anything, a "tot lot" might make more sense.
