If you own property in po dunk nowhere then you are going to have a much tougher time leasing out to a second or third generational tenant.One developer I know just built a high end 400,000 sq ft retail open air walkable mall concept.

The area is growing like crazy and the market is red hot and looks to be that way for the next several years.  

In a hot market like ATX you would have to be ninja like ready to jump all over a new home as it comes up and be ready to overpay and get into a bidding war. 

The market it hot right now, so waiting a year or two might even present a better buying opportunity.
