When our daughter started college instead of renting, we found a good deal on a condo and decided to purchase it.

So I see the banks doing something similar in the US.Perhaps some US banks are already starting to do something on a case-by-case basis because I’ve been getting messages from my mortgage companies similar to what the European banks are sending out (”We would encourage any customer experiencing financial difficulty to get in touch with us”).

We knew having 2-years with a family was appealing to a landlord, as we are more likely to take care of the home than a house full of college kids (no offense, college kids).Second, we signed a lease knowing that we were going to rent out the english basement on AirBnB as much as possible (which we had the approval in our lease and from our property manager to do).

I'm currently in my sophomore year of college at Fordham University, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all of my classes have been moved to online.

And they will often customize if for you specific needs. 

I have no interest in going to college and putting myself into debt or owning a home that will not make me money, atleast to begin with.

I'm assuming this is going to be rented out by the room (maybe college kids?)

Some spec, some custom as GC and some build to suit.

As a 63-year-old with a BA in Economics and lots of treasury experience, I have concluded that the Economic principles I was taught in college and experienced in my treasury career often no longer apply.  

I'm a civil engineering consultant who has been in the industry for about 3 years since graduating college.
