It is in terrible condition from having loads of cats and dogs ( needs all new flooring) but the electric is old as well and starting to have problems.

I would work like a dog on the house and then try to rent it on airbnb.

The biggest thing here (and I assume many places) is pets.

Basic questions include - full name, who all moving in, where do you live now, what's your current rent, why are you moving, any pets, when are you looking to move, what's your job (and those moving in) and income, credit score. then use cozy to background and credit check

At least that would keep you out of the dog house if you have a solution when you tell your wife.
