Hi Jr, as a newbie,  I recommend going after pre-foreclosures versus foreclosed properties -- your mission would be to connect with the homeowner versus foreclosed properties which can be a scavenger hunt that leads to nowhere.

I would recommend either calling them up or going to the website and checking out the general process for landlords as well as requesting an inspection checklist so you already know what they're going to be looking for.
