After getting a certificate in guitar performance I rejoined the active duty. 

One note is that the online courses will force you to space out your certificates exams over a period of 3-4 months.

When I completed training, I had to take a proctored (library; college) exam to receive my certificate; the exam was 100 multiple choice questions.
