How would you spend your time if you were financially independent?

You should have gotten an independent home inspection to give you an idea of it's condition and possible repairs needed. 

Personally, my view is while I'm in the wealth accumulation phase of my life I'm comfortable using debt to build up a portfolio, as I approach financial independence I'd ideally like getting some or all of them them paid off.  

Any idea if appreciation of duplexes, triplexes, quadruplexes follows single family appreciation or are they completely independent from each other?

It also doesn't matter who pays for the appraisal, the appraiser is from an independent third party company contracted by the buyer's lender, and most appraisers get super annoyed when somebody tries to influence them and their appraisal.The only exception to my answer is if you have a very eccentric or unique property that is extraordinarily hard to guage the value of based on traditional means.

Reading stock market news or watching CNBC , reading annual reports etc .I've just seen too many people that have been able to succeed and gain financial independent and retire early or chose to retire early from real estate .Many of the people on this forum and on the BP podcast.

Homeowners (not landlords, only owner occupants) and renters can file with FEMA for grant assistance that is independent of income.

I am 24 and I came across this awesome Forum and I had no connections into any real estate so I decided to go into becoming an agent myself this year and I want to start investing as well but I am contracted with a big broker in Michigan as a independent contractor.
