I am not sure of the current stats on owner-occupied homes in the neighborhood, but I would say a fair number of people had to rent theirs out due to the market being flooded with foreclosures and still not recovered.

Sky Mikesell here based in Charlotte NC. if this is a foreclosure sale then most states allow for an accelerated removal process of any stay over occupants. .. when i say accelerated that means it is faster then traditional eviction proceedings.

I dont want to look at things this way, but I figure if we are looking to buy a house anyway, why not try and chase down some foreclosures and haggle with some banks in order to get my feet wet and just see if I can find a good deal.
