Welcome, Aaron.As a fellow MD, I would advise making sure that you are playing defense very well before continuing your RE investing journey.

The best advice I can give to a new investor at your age is to stay out of consumer debt and save as much as you can for your initial investment.

Hello @Mary june MartilloI've been contacted by dozens of investors looking to do conversions in NYC but very few actually pan out.

They were two young women who always paid their rent on time and seemed very responsible.

I'm best in the South Island. 

My next best option would be a 2 bdr condo (for cheaper price + condo fee), which are also a little older, but in better locations of Fairfax county.
