The challenge here (when you do find the owner) is convincing him/her to interact with the court sponsoring the auction in an expeditious manner that would "stay" the property or temporarily delay the auction.Also he/she may not wish to cooperate with you at all knowing that you have a vested interest.

We felt fine about the interaction with the owner in evaluating going with Renters' Warehouse on the PM side, beyond just the observation that the offering seemed very formulaic and we did not 'buy' the value proposition (for the right price of course we may have bitten).During the one other experience we had with them, though - the service was poor, at best, but extremely dysfunctional.

If I can't get my money back, I will take the course and coaching to try and see what I can make happen, but I'm just wondering if anyone else on this forum had any interaction with this company and/or managed to their money back, or used a lawyer to do so?

@Carrie Hatcher My wife is a financial planner, and they’re very good at what they do, through her I’ve interacted with quite a few financial planners, I’ve found most of them go blank faced when you try to have actual real estate investment conversations and most aren’t well versed in the type of investing that BiggerPockets promotes, I’d lean towards a real estate experienced CPA I’d recommend Brandon Cox with BMC Accounting out of Toledo OH

I ask direct questions about if the applicant turned in income and asset documents and if that was used to qualify or if the interaction is only verbal at this point.
