I am new to the short term rental hosting game but was curious if the 5-6 person size would be the most logical for this size of cabin.I appreciate any insight.

My mother-in-law co-hosts with us and handles the coordination of the cleaners and maintenance, quality control and guest communications. 

I suggested looking for a co-host or someone that is currently successful at managing STR properties.

Switched to a local host and had it rented in first 2 days on Airbnb.

I wanted to host a meetup on BP but it doesnt seem there are alot of South Africans here either.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is is my first venture as a host but I have been a guest renting large homes with my family for years.

That will raise your chances of getting more 5 star reviews, you'll get to become a "Super Host" faster and move up to being the first advertised properties on the airbnb website, consequently, more people will book your place! 

And correct I think the host can choose how much the cleaning fee is but the renter is the one who pays for it.
