Relocating to North Carolina, what cities do we steer clear of?

Hey everyone, my wife and I are moving to North Carolina in the next few months from MA. Based on our research, the numbers for properties in the “triad” area - Greensboro, high point, Winston-Salem - look like they would work well as rentals in case we had to rent them out instead of staying. Are there areas around there that should be avoided or have unusually high crime or generally bad tenant experiences with anyone? Anything helps, thank you!

Hey Nick - excited you're ready to run away from MA winters and come to NC. I did the same thing 5 years ago and never looked back. Ive house-hacked Greensboro and my cousin has house hacked High Point. I always advise house hackers to make sure you prioritize preference of where you'd want to live ahead of making the highest ROI in case "s*$! happens". I also work with a number of investors in the Triad so I'm happy to provide you some insights on areas. It can definitely be a "street-by-street" situation. Give me a shout in the PM
