If I were to quit a steady job to pursue a passion in real estate, is an agent a smart way to go about it?

I have even looked into business loans and personal loans just to keep adding to my portfolio but I don't think its smart to keep leveraging my own credit to do so.  

Hi Group, quick question.. when you are shopping rental properties, do you really care about the age of the house as long as it gives good cashflow/yield ?

Not sure if this market, is a smart market to get into.

As Julio said run numbers and be smart. 

They are making great efforts to add to the downtown area, I have a good friend who just opened a bouldering gym downtown, and another friend looking into opening a "hip" bookstore/coffee shop.

I can not claim to be smart enough to have started real estate when I was back in school haha, but I am sure I might be able to relate since sometimes it feels like I have multiple full-time jobs haha.I just try to focus on what I am doing during the moment and then switch gears when I need to. 

Currently, A fully leased shopping center and 3 stand alone building owners make up a 8 acre commercial site.
